The Virginia Cavaliers are just thankful that they will be playing another lacrosse game after rallying back to take down Bucknell in overtime in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Things certainly won’t get any easier for Virginia, which will now face the No. 2 Cornell Big Red.
Cornell rolled past Hartford in their opening round game and can practically taste another trip to the Final Four. With that said, they certainly would have rather faced Bucknell than Virginia in the quarterfinals.
The Wahoos have been inconsistent throughout the year, and many believe the off-the-field distractions resulting from the Yeardley Love murder case has simply been too much to handle. ( Read More…)

The Maryland Terrapins are fresh off of an impressive win over the rival North Carolina Tar Heels, but trouble looms in the next round.
The Terps will travel to Foxborough Sunday to take on the Syracuse Orange, the top seed in the NCAA tournament.
Unlike North Carolina, Syracuse has a lot of experience, and obviously talent, on their side. The Orange cruised past Siena in the first round, but the Terps will be no pushover.
Maryland also has a number of seniors who are trying to go out with a bang and reach the Final Four for the first time in their collegiate careers. ( Read More…)

NCAA lacrosse is as hot as it gets this weekend as the Final Four takes place at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
Big crowds are expected downtown as well over 100,000 people decend on the Inner Harbor for the pinnacle of the sport.
Duke, Virginia, Notre Dame and Cornell all bring a little something different to the table.
The Cavaliers were the favorites going into the tournament but have been rocked by the tragic death of a female lacrosse player at the alleged hands of her former boyfriend, also a UVA lacrosse player.
Duke has flown under the radar but is talented as always while Cornell and Notre Dame are the big surprises.
It should be a tremendous weekend of lacrosse, so get your tickets today!
